The day after Christmas, Vance went to the park with a family member and I got a call saying "Vance had fallen off the swing and cut his head" Of coarse he did! This child loves giving me heart attacks! Long story short, he got 8 stitches.

Christmas Day

We had to wake the boys up to open presents...sad, i know. The boys destroyed the place went through all their gifts in about 20 minutes. Vance kept opening presents and saying.... "Mom, you got this at Walmart!" I could only reply with, "No I didn't Vance, Santa brought it"
Then we went to Alison's (my sis n' law) for dinner and she made chicken pot pie.

The Eve of Christmas....

Christmas eve was a very good start to Christmas this year. Bens Parents flew in and it was such a joy to have them here! We don't see them too much so it is always fun to get to spend time with them. First, we went to my moms house because Santa and the Mrs. always make a "special appearance for all the grandkids. (this is why I don't wait in line at the mall) It went WAY better this year. Vance and Brogan were both so excited to sit on his lap and tell them what they want (a bike and a "scooder"). Then we came to our house where sweet Grandma Cowart made a yummy turkey dinner. It was nice just to hang out with family and relax. We got the kids to bed fairly early so santa could come we could actually get a good night sleep.

Playing santa.... I never thought that having two boys so close was ever a challenge, but this year, I have realized why some parents say to space your kids apart. We had to make sure they got the EXACT same thing! Same amount, same gifts, and same colors! If one of them thinks that the other one got something they didn't, its WAR!

Yes, I cried and he cried and then he said he was so sorry and he was all done and he asked me if I would please put his hair back on. I don't think he will ever mess with scissors again!

Thanksgiving...finally

Well... thanks giving came and went and yes, I know I am behind, but oh well. It was nice and relaxing, low stress. We went to a huge meal at my Nena's house where I got to eat my the best food, by the best cooks EVER! (my aunts) My Husband's sister came to stay with us and that was fun to have company.

Vance, Brogan and Anaston....Hmmmm! Even though it is a little strange, I just love adding a girl into my chaotic boy world! Annie Belongs to my friend Jessica so these 3 kids hang out quite often. The are so dang funny together. Poor Bro gets left out because Vance and Annie are "in love"! Since Brogan and Annie are only 3 weeks apart we try to force them to be friends and quite frankly they just don't like each other. It is sad. I really can't even explain this picture below but this is just how they act around each other!

The big TWO

Bro Bro turned 2 on the 9th and a figured I better document it. We just had a small get together at Peter Piper Pizza. Of coarse all the kids had so much fun and Brogan just sat at the table and ate pizza the WHOLE time. He was really cute opening up his presents. he got a lot of fun things from friends and family! I can't believe how big he is getting! Seriously, we joke that he is taking Steroids that we don't know about;) at his 2 year appointment his head was the only thing on the charts at 92%. He is so cute and fun, he is starting to talk in full sentences and loves to copy his big bro Vance! We totally enjoy having him. Sad..... that he is getting so old so quick!

Back from the dead!

life has been kind of a nightmare lately! I have been really sick with bladder problems and no one can seem to tell me what is going on! Doctors kept telling me that I was getting kidney infections, but after months of ER trips they decided to look deeper into it and realized that I had never had an infection. I went through so many appointments and different opinions and finally I had a Urologist tell me that he thinks I might have bladder cancer and he need to do a biopsy asap. The biopsy came back negative for cancer and the Doc said he had a pretty good idea of what was wrong........ well...... 2 weeks after the biopsy, things took a turn for the worse. I was just released form the hospital last night after being stuck there for 4 days! It was terrible! I had tubes coming from everywhere and I felt the worse I have ever felt. On the fourth day my Doctor went in and fixed things the best he could, but we still don't know what is wrong. I just want to say thanks to ALL those who have helped me through this hard time! I have some awesome friends who have done so much for me! I also have seen the power of the priesthood stronger than ever over the past couple days. I am so thankful for my sweet husband and parents! Ben has been so good with the kids and playing Mr. Mom! my ward has also been a great help. I have a lot of blogging to catch up on so I will do that as soon as I am a little more up to it!

A week full of events!

Halloween was quite the production this year. I think all the events lasted about a week and Vance still doesn't want to take his costume off! Being the slacker that I am, I had no idea what the boys were going to be until their preschool told me about their "Fall Festival" the night before it was supposed to take place! I had to depend on good old AZ mills to find some awesome Halloween deals. For some reason I have always hated generic Disney costumes, But when you see how happy your kid gets over a light up Cars costume, you just can't say no! (especially when it is 50% off) I was luckier with Brogan because he is not quite old enough to care so I got to dress him in what I wanted. The Children's Place had this cute cowboy costume that I fell in love with. The only one left was a 4T so we had to make do with a few safety pins! The boys had such a fun time at their school party. They loves all the activities and the "nacks" (snacks). On Halloween night we went to the Nixon's for yummy chili and hotdogs. We all had a blast taking the kids trick or treating. I was worn out by 8:00 and ready for bed but, of coarse the boys were on a complete sugar high so they got to stay up a little later than usual. I think my brother Walker wins the best costume award. I don't really know what he "was" but it was pretty funny.

My friends and and their problems! LOL

Well, I have a few funny stories. First, Sara called me one night to tell me that she was going to ride her "new Bike" over to my house with her dog Ace. she wanted to call and tell me just in case she never showed up, I would know what to tell the police:) when she told me that she was just going to throw on her helmet and head over, I couldn't help but bust out laughing thinking of her in a nerdy helmet with her "horse dog" crossing Val Vista drive! I told her to call me when she got close so I could come out and take blackmail pictures and she agreed. Well she called and told me she was close, so I hurried out with my camera and she was NOWHERE to be found. I was really confused and kind of worried. 3 seconds later my phone rang again and she told me to go a little more out into the street and look to my left..... Yep, all I see is a gigantic dog standing in the middle of the street with a tangle of body and bike below him. You better believe that my first instinct was to take pictures! a couple seconds later I realized that she really could be hurt so a Ran down to help her out, and this was my finding......(sorry sara, and no there were no major injuries that a little ASEA couldn't fix)Second, I may be a really mean friend but I kind of MADE my friend Jessica cut her daughter's hair. I know it sounds mean especially since she is a hair stylist so she is completely capable of making that decision:) I was just really convinced that she would look SO cute with a little bob! Well after working on her for like a full day, she finally gave in. I just had tho share the pictures because Jessica was seriously shedding tears over little Annie's hair. I am not being mean, it was just kind of funny. I must sound like a horrible friend! I guess I was just excited to blog about something other than my sometimes boring little life. oh and just as I assumed, Annies hair is ADORABLE! Jessica did such a cute job on it. I told her that one day I MIGHT have a little girl and she can force me into chopping her hair off. I did start to feel a little bad when I notice how sick Jessica looked while doing it!too cute!

Ben + Ben = BFF-ers

Ben Cowart and Ben Cawley... Best friends since they were tiny! I actually sometimes feel threatened by the relationship the have j/k. It is sad that Ben Cawley still lives in GA because the rarely get to see each other, but they will take any oppurtunity to get to get to hang out and the fact that UGA was playing here in the Sun Devils stadium was a perfect reason for Ben to fly out! We had a really fun weekend. Ben and Ben were so much fun to watch together. They act like little kids when they are together and I think it is cute. I just stuck close to Heather and we had our own "date". The game was a blast and it was even sweeter when we KILLED ASU! I won't lie... I was a little scared for my life when I saw all the ASU fans. Luckily there were actually a lot of UGA fans to help back us up!
My boys LOVE Ben Cawley! We told them that he plays football for Georgia and they believed it. Now that is all they talk about.
