Memorial Day

Ben took the boys early
in the morning to the Military Shrine to talk to them about Memorial day. They loved hearing about all The people that FOUGHT in wars for our country. Vance was so excited when he got home to tell me about all the Army "Shoulders" who used guns to kill bad guys and bad monsters. Ben was trying to teach them how to Salute and they quickly turned "saluting" into "shooting webs like Spiderman"?! I love my boys!

Vance has been asking and asking "when are we going to go swimmin".. Well, the weather here isn't exactly swimming weather yet. so we let them play in the hose. It was actually kind of warm outside, But the water was COLD! They didn't seem to mind of coarse. I had fun taking pictures of them outside. They were so full of energy! I am sure everyone in the neighborhood could hear them laughing and screaming! It was almost like they hadn't been outside in like 2 years! It was cute!

We went to Daddy's work the other day and Vance was so amazed by some of the OR lights that were up. He just thought it was the Funniest thing that he could see himself on the screen. I felt kind of bad because he was being blinded by the lights! He loves to be a help to his dad, and Ben loves to have him around. Vance is such a good helper! (when he wants to) Vance just loves to see himself... especially on TV!

So my "sweet" little Vance LOVES it when I tell him stories, But recently I HATE telling him stories because he interrupts me every 2 seconds to say "And then the Transformers came and killed everyone with a GUN!" What in the world!? Where does he come up with this? Boys will be Boys, I guess?

Enjoying the Weather

YAY!!! It was like 70 degrees and we were loving it! We were actually sweating! Brogan loves the slides and he has to start by swinging and land hard on the slide! He is so crazy!

15 weeks and feeling it!

This little boy is so active in my belly. I can all ready feel his cute little movements and I feel like it is the first time all over again. This is going to be such a long pregnancy because Vance talks about this baby all day everyday. He just wants it to come out so bad. We say that he is napping in my belly and he will come out when he wakes up. I just hope that I can keep myself busy this summer and not stress too much about the big arrival. I got rid of EVERYTHING that I had from the boys because I was so convinced that my next would be a boy so I have a lot of shopping to do. Luckily my Sis n Law, McKenzie has given me the big stuff like a swing and a bassinet. I don't even own a stroller anymore! Uh... I am going to try not to think about it till October.

Sara's visit... In a nut shell!

Sara came for the weekend and let me just say.... It was so fun! I think I might need a week to recover but It was well worth it. There was way too much to do in ust a couple days.
She flew out to go shopping in Chicago andso I could take some new pics for her (for her TV appearance ;)

Us on the 4 wheeler! We got a little crazy. but it was so much fun. I was a better driver than Sara! LOL

The out come.... we were pretty much covered in mud from the woods! Not to mention getting lost in the middle of the woods! Good thing we both had our iphones with GPS!
We kind of got stuck in the mud and had to pull ourselves out. It wasn't until after that we learned that it had 4 wheel drive!

Ok so we were driving back from Chicago and we hit such a bad car crash. We were at a dead stop so we went a little crazy The beach in Chicago! SO FUN. That is Brogan in the background

Sara was so nice while she was here. She was such a help to have around. She helped me with the kids, my house and best of all just kept me comapany. I was so sad to see her leave. I want ALL my friends to come out and visit!

and the verdict is....

Sara came to town this weekend and we have been playing in chicago.... Well if you know me at all, you know that I am SOOOO impatient. My Dr just scheduled an ultrasound in 4 weeks but I can't wait that long! I needed to know what this baby is! NOW! Well long story short, Sara helped me track down and ultrasound place and we went! I NOW KNOW......

Well I guess Ben might actually get that Basketball team that he wants so badly!!! As for me, Mixed emoitons. I can't lie and say I wasn't a little sad, but when I think about my sweet cute boys, How could I not want another. I will just trust that this is what God wants for me!

It's about time!

 

YAY!! we can finally enjoy the weather! It has been about to between 60 and 70 degrees! I think Vance would WAY rather live outdoors than in our house! He loves being outside! We went out to the property and I took some fun pics! I am getting so excited for the weather to keep getting warmer and warmer!

They guys go out shooting alot and Vance always wants to be a part of it! Finally Ben let him shoot the Pellet gun and he had so much fun. He actually did really good and shot it all by himself. We had to get him one for his birthday because of how much he loved it! Don't worry... Ben is such a good daddy and is so careful around guns. He is the only person I would ever trust with my boys around ANY gun!
