We are home!!!!

I can't even begin to say how truly thankful I am to have such great friends and family! This has been such a miracle and I am so happy to finally have a little peace. They released Brogan on the terms that we meet with the neurologist this week and keep a close eye on him. He has been doing pretty good. He is walking now and he is back to his happy little self. It is still pretty scary because he is very unsteady and he thinks he can do more than he can. We have joked about getting a helmet on him! We just can't turn our back on him for one second. He is very happy to be home. I think that his recovery will be a lot quicker at home! He is still throwing up, but other than that he seems to be feeling pretty good. THANK YOU for ALL the prayers! I know that it is because of the prayers that he was able to heal so quickly. I have such a testimony of faith and this gospel! I am so happy to have the comfort of knowing that our Heavenly Father is ALWAYS there for us, even when times seem almost unbearable. I will keep everyone updated on his progress!

Brogan's update

well starting from the beginning, a couple of days ago, I had to call 911 because Brogan suddenly lost his ability to walk and control is facial muscles. They rushed us to Banner Desert where at first they told us that it is a scorpion bite. When they ruled that out, they told us it could be carbon monoxide poisoning or a severe ear infection. Nothing really made sense until they did a cat scan and came in to tell us that he had a "major head trauma" and his brain was bleeding. At that point they rushed him to Phoenix Children Hospital where CPS and 2 police officers were waiting for our arrival due to an "unexplained head trauma". This may have been the longest night of my life! CPS took Vance away and placed him under my parents care all while we were in the ICU waiting on a neurosurgeon to examine Brogan. They told us that he had to have an MRI because it would tell us more about the bleed. As soon as an anesthesiologist became available (to put him asleep for the mri) they got him in and soon came back with the results... Good news! There was absolutely no sign of any bleed or injury. (all this of coarse after a priesthood blessing!) I was thankful that the the Dr soon had CPS on the phone to tell them that this had all been a misunderstanding. Anyways...while I was happy that there was no bleed, I was still upset that my child Can't walk, has No balance and is drooling all over the place! At this point the Doctors really don't know what is going on. They are calling it Acute Cerebellar Ataxia. It is a neurological disorder that 90% of kids recover from with in a couple weeks. Yes I know the whole story doesn't make sense and I wish it did! He is doing a TON better but he is still in the hospital. Phoenix children hospital is so great! The make a wish foundation came around today with Goofy and Tiger to handout balloons and it was so cute to see bro's face light up when they came in the room. Bro is so strong and I know he will fully recover from this! I am so thankful for my husband and the priesthood. I love that I have a worthy husband that can bless my kids in time of need! Thank you for all the help and prayers. I will post again when he gets home and when things settle down.

Sleepy Vance.........

At our old house, Vance was kind of "locked" in his room. He would wake up really early and roam the house with out me and Ben knowing it and it scared me! We ended up taking off his side of the handle so he couldn't get out. I know it sounds mean but he was totally fine with it. Well, at this house the master is down stairs and his room is up stairs so I don't want to lock him in (just in case there is an emergency or something) He has been waking up pretty early and we just tell him to go back to bed. He usually does but yesterday this is how we found him!!! Asleep on the stairs! I guess he just never made it all the way back to his room! I am happy he didn't roll down the stairs! (we don't put him to bed naked, He always takes of his bunny suit because he thinks it is itchy!)

Nice try........

First off... let me say that i had to switch my blog to blue stars because my hubby said that the pink hearts were too girly! I guess I kind of agree, seeing that I have 2 boys! Anyways, today I realized that my house had become a little too quiet. That is just a clue that the boys are into something. I called for Vance and then I heard a door shut. I went in there to find the Ovaltine can open in the pantry with a spoon sitting next to it. When I asked him if he had been eating it, of coarse he said "No Mommy" hmmm..... I need to get a lock on this pantry ASAP!! My old house had one, so Vance is taking advantage of the easy access!

Play date with landon!

So I just had to make Amy let me take pictures of her son Landon! He is such a cute little guy! Well Actually he's not that little. He reminds me so much of those cute cabbage patch dolls from back in the day. (the boy ones of coarse). One of the best things about him is that he is so well behaved and laid back! I told Amy about "Baby Wise" and of coarse it was a success! Landon is so Good! I don't even really think that I have heard him cry! I guess it is all in the parenting! Amy is a great mom! Any ways, It is really interesting that our boys are the exact same as me and Amy in age difference. Landon was born 4 days before my b-day and Brogan was born 4 days before Amy's b-day. They were cute at the park together! I can't wait for them to become best buds!

There are still good people out there!

This morning we woke up to find that our dog Oliver had dug his way out of our back yard! I was do sad! Oliver is seriously the best dog ever. Ben got him for my birthday right after we got married! I had always wanted a tiny chihuahua and I was so happy when I finally got one! He is so good with the kids and he has never given use any problems. I knew for sure that no one would return him because he is so cute! Tonight when we were driving home we noticed that there were signs up saying hr had been found! YAY!!!! I am so happy that there are still good people out there that are willing to do the right thing! We are so happy to have him back! The other day the boys had a picnic with Oliver in the back yard!

"I'm a big boy"

this is what happens when your kid tries to become a little more independent! I had just cleaned the kitchen up after dinner and I left the room for 2 seconds and came back to this! Vance had taken the Spaghetti out of the fridge and poured it into a bowl. I was very surprised at how well he did. Then, he tried to make himself cereal this morning! You can only imagine how well that went!

The Big Move

well, where do I even begin..... So we have had our house on the market for about a year and half! We know how bad the market is and we were in no hurry to sell, so we were just riding it out waiting for someone to give us an acceptable offer. basically, about 2 weeks ago, Ben woke up one morning and said, "let's move". he was sick of the drive to work every day and we were just ready to be back in town. Also, we lowered the price of our house and we had quite a few people come look at it and it was too hard to keep presentable. With in a couple days, we had found a rental in Gilbert and packed everything up! We had a ton of help from girls in my ward and my dad and brother. I don't remember moving being such a pain! My poor friend (and neighbor) came to help me pack and she didn't know her son was so allergic to cats! His face swelled so big! I felt so bad! Sorry Crystal!!!!! I never hated Queen Creek, in fact I was VERY sad to leave my ward and friends, but I am very happy living back in town! Everything just seems easier with out the drive to QC! The boys LOVE the new house! Vance thinks that it is a giant playhouse! He loves the backyard and would play out there all day if I let him! I love this area, it is so nice and all the people have been really nice so far. We have a way bigger house now so hopefully I will learn how to be a little more organized! Now we have to fix our QC house up and make it look really nice so it will sell! Wish us luck!

Angels.......

I recently had the most humbling experience! My friend Jerah owns the Glitter box (cutest store ever) and Radio Disney contacted them to see if they could bring all the cancer patients from PCH to get makeovers before they went to Disney On Ice. I went down to take pictures of them as they modeled their new look! It was truly an amazing opportunity!! I can not believe how happy and sweet ALL of these little girls were. I really could hang out with them all day everyday! They were all smiles and never complained about anything! Some of them could not even walk, but they never showed and signs of despair. As I worked that day I found myself thanking my Heavenly Father for my kids and their health. I admire so many people for the struggles that they go through. I am thankful to all of the girls that I met that day. They made my day! Thanks PCH and Glitter Box!

Finally a little help!

Vance just recently started to show interest in helping me clean. He actually does an okay job! I know it won't last for long, but hopefully he will keep it up for a while!

Anybody need shoes!?

Okay I found this site that I love for shoes! Because shoes are kind of disposable for us, I am always looking for a good bargain! We recently bought Vance some Etnies at the mall and they were way too much! This site is great for finding shoes for my boys! I am a sucker for velcro! I will not put shoes on my kids that tie! I don't care if they look like little old men..... it is just way easier.

I HAVE TO!

So I said I would NEVER go private but I have decided to due to trying to expand my business. If you would like to be added to read my blog, leave your email as a comment on any post or email me at poseycowart@gmail.com. I hope to do this within the next couple days. thanks!
