Happy Birthday Benner!!

Yesterday was Ben's birthday! My parents kept the boys so were were able to go have a nice dinner at Carabbas. Today his sister Alison made him a yummy lunch and cake! We had a fun day just getting to be together! He is the love of my life and The BEST dad ever! Our boys totally adore him! We all do! Happy Birthday Benji!

Seriously Mom

I was a little disturbed when I went to pick Brogan up from my moms the other day because she had him in a GIRL onesie! She said that it was all she had but still... come on... I think that maybe it made me really sad to see pink look do dang cute on him LOL. I guess I can give my mom a little slack because she does watch them all the time and this was a first. I am thankful to have her so close and I am also grateful to her for being so kind to my boys! They LOVE her! But as you can see from the pic... I don't think he liked being dressed like a girl!

SAND-wich

The other day I was at the park with some friends and we were eating PB&J's for lunch. I think I might be a really bad mom because I was allowing brogan to finish his sandwich after rubbing it in the dirt a few times. (sick, I know) He was really upset when I tried to take it away so I figured, What the heck... God made dirt right? I think after only 2 1/2 long years of parenting I have figured not to sweat the small stuff! I think it only makes your kids crazy when you when you don't let them "live a little". I might be wrong but oh well.....

okay, so I saw American Idol last week and I was impressed with all the talent but what ever happen to these types of people! I have yet to see an audition top this one!~ I think it will forever be my favorite! Why do I kind of have a crush on Simon?

Story of my life!

I took Vance to the Dr because I took his temp and it was 103 but when I got there, they said it was 105.2! YIKES! They told me that he had strep throat and maybe the flu as well. At that point I had Ben bring brogan down to the office because they hadn't been feeling well either. Sure enough, they all have strep throat! Lucky me! I am so frustrated because Vance is so hard when he is sick! He is either clinging to me or telling me "GO AWAY MOMMY!" This may sound really mean, but it was a little funny that he was completely hallucinating in the Dr Office! He kept swating at things around his face telling them to go away. I guess that is what a 105 temp does to you! I also have to promote AIRBORNE because I have been taking it and what do you know, I am the only one that is not sick! (knock on wood)

This is just proof that I was supposed to have girls! LOL. I walked into my bedroom and found Vance keeping himself very busy with nail polish! I must say that I am happy he kept it off the carpet!

Okay, so I know that is is really bad to brag about your kids... but I just have to say that Vance is kind of an amazing athlete! I do have to admit that I am very happy about it because we were a little worried for a while because of his speech delay! Although he is still working on his speech and communication, he is (as my hubby would say) tearing it up on the football field! He was so funny at the park, Ben would hike him the ball and he would catch it and then throw it out to Ben. It was funny because he was so proud of himself and he wasn't hiding it! He loves all sports, i just hope that we don't wear him out. We will have to see what happens one we get him out on a real field with other kids! Who knows...... As For Brogan, He just sat and watched because he knew his dad would make him be a tackle dummy for Vance! Dad doesn't understand that Brogan is still a little young to play with him and Vance! :)

My Vancie Pants!

Lately I have felt bad because I have often found my self envying other moms who have calm, well behaved, mellow 2 year olds, but I have had to stop and really realize the things that make my little Vance so amazing and special to me! Yes, he is absolutely crazy and he keeps me on my toes 24/7, but he also brings me more joy than I could ever imagine. I guess I am writing this out of guilt because I have been so hard on him trying to get him to be obedient! I must remember that he is just a 2 year old and he a special spirit sent straight from out Heavenly Father! Today we were shopping in Walmart and I found myself getting so frustrated because every 2 minutes he would say "Mom, I want hug", so I had to stop what I was doing and give him a dang hug just to avoid a melt down. I should have just enjoyed the moment and been thankful for my sweet little boy! I really need to cool it and not sweat the small stuff! Any ways, I guess I am just trying to say....um... I love my boys!

Breakfast Jacks.... The best!

I kind of have a problem because I am addicted to jack in the box breakfast jacks! I have always loved them... in fact, in high school I would go before school and buy a couple to stash in my backpack to eat through out the day! They are the best not only because they are served all day but because they are only 99 CENTS!!!! Well needless to say my kids love them too! Bro Bro loves them so much that he just kept eating right up until he fell asleep!

We went to Riggs b-day party and let me say... There is nothing like a 2 year old birthday party! The weather was so nice! It was so relaxing just getting to sit and chat with friends and let my kids run wild! Vance and Riggs enjoyed a little

I had to hold the whole time. It is getting so nice having 2 boys that can run around on their own. I have been wanting another baby but as they
get more independent, I kind of wonder why I

The Big Easy!

We went to New Orleans for the new Year and it was such a blast! I think it was seriously the most exhausting trip of my life, but it was so much fun! Once I got over all the panic attacks from leaving my kids, I was able to relax and enjoy a little mommy and daddy time! We flew into Baton Rouge where me and Ben got a night to our selves! It was really nice! Then Ben's best friends came and picked us up in the morning and we made the one hour drive to New Orleans. It is a pretty crazy city! I can not believe how cold it was! I totally was not prepared to be freezing the whole time! Ben and his friends went to the sugar bowl that night to watch Georgia kill Hawaii! (the whole point for the trip!) the wives had a girls night in the hotel room (we figured we would have more fun at the hotel than at the game!) Then we picked them up from the game at about 1am and then headed up to Baton rouge at about 3am to catch a 6am flight home! It was quite the trip!
